daihatsu1 Tokyo Motor Show 2009: Daihatsus e:S Concept Garners Attention

Daihatsu’s e:S concept comes with a lightweight body and a 660cc 3 cylinder engine. It may appear small but packs in a lot more than you could possibly imagine. The car measures just 3.1 meter and comes with some really bright headlights that are quirky in some senses.

It comes with a fuel economy of 70mpg and with a kerbweight of 700kg, it isn’t exactly the heaviest car around. The car looks similar to other small ones released lately, with the typical box like design common among Asian manufactured small cars. The box design may not appeal to everyone, especially for the North American and European markets.

However, Asian models are known to be popular in India, China and even African counties where consumers look for cheaper models more than style. Daihatsu’s e:S concept is a good deal, if you are looking for fuel economy, and performance. It however isn’t my favourite, thanks to its ordinary looks. If you would like to get his car, you might have to wait for a while. It was announced at the Tokyo Motor Show 2009.
