The FT-86 concept is one of the most eagerly anticipated vehicles in the past few weeks. Toyota unveiled the FT-86 concept and also the FT-EC II concept at the 41st Tokyo motor Show. Both the vehicles are all electrical and run on lithium ion batteries.

The vehicles can deliver up to 90kms on a full charge and also reach a top speed of 100 kmph. These cars have no steering wheels and there would absolutely no emission issues at all, making the electric vehicles clean and green. Blessed with an enhanced communication system, the driver can browse through music, download content and even communicate while on the go.

The FT-EV II is more than just an electric car and can easily be used in big cities making it one of the most practical solutions. Usually electric vehicles are either too futuristic and not practical or just too expensive. However, Toyota finally seems to have provided a solution at the Tokyo Motor Show 2009.
