Recession has been playing the spoilt sport for businesses around the world. It has kept many car manufacturers away from this year’s 41st annual Tokyo motor show. This has however given a great chance to a number of eco-friendly two-wheeled vehicles to make up for the absence of the car manufacturers. Some of the electric bikes of all shapes and sizes will attract a lot of attention from the crowd.

The show will witness some cool electric bikes that can run for nearly 50 kilometers with just one time charge. It can speed up to 30 kilometers per hour. Motorcycle giant, Yamaha gained a lot of fame when they developed an electrically assisted bicycle, the first of its kind. This time, they are launching their latest model “PAS” for about $1,000.

Satomi Okumura, the PR of Yamaha Motors is confident that the potential of the electric two-wheeled vehicle in the international market will be recognized in the long run. Yamaha Motors also exhibited conceptual electric commuter vehicles, which have futuristic designs focused on appealing to a wide range of age groups.
