This is an era of simple yet modern broad-spectrum interiors which not just appeal to the tastes of the residents, but tend to their multiple needs within a room’s space. What we see here is designer Michal Mitek’s visualization of how the bathroom of the future would probably look like- a multi-purpose restroom that gives recreation with relaxation in a single space.

This futuristic restroom layout has an integrated recreation room and a free-standing shower space where water sprays from the roof when it is completely closed up. On unpacking the hidden fixtures, the floor transforms into an array of benches arranged around a sunken bathtub which sinks you in the feeling of a relaxing spa at your door-step. Additionally, a set of flat screens would give you an entertaining treat complementing your respite.

Still in a conceptual stage, the design looks very happening and promising and would rightly tend to the modern needs. This might really be the bathroom of the future because; this is what the future needs- an ultramodern, space-saving, low furnished bathroom which has an assortment of hidden pleasures within itself.

Did you ever imagine carrying light in your pocket literally? I am not talking about keeping a torch light into your pocket but a pocket light that is convenient for you to carry it around wherever and whenever you go out. The Pocket Light is proposed by Harc Lee. It is like a card that you can literally fold easily and keep it inside your wallet. It is powered by a cell that is placed on its back.

This will be convenient when you are walking down the ill-lit streets in the middle of the night. You can just flap the Pocket Light and it will give you beautiful mellow light. Life is full of unexpected situations, and you never know when and what you will encounter with one of them.

So, it will be wise to carry one of these pocket lights in your wallet. Due to its light weight, you will hardly feel any difference when you put it in your pocket. For sure, it will be of some use to you some time. There is no further information regarding its materialization or if it will ever hit the market.

The floating space schematic design is done to be anchored to the coastline, almost like a living organism would do, rising and falling with the tides.

That oceans and humans are interdependent is the core theme of this, while the architectural form draws on the curves and fluidity of living beings in the ocean. So much a far cry from the angled rigidity we see in architecture around us!
Once the pavilion is done with the expo, it could be continued to host a range of events, in other coastal cities too. The design has been conceived by Antoine Damery.

If you thought building a replica of Eiffel tower or the London Bridge using the 3D was a great achievement, think about this. A guy has gone ahead and replicated the whole of the city of Marseille including the iconic structures found in it! Marseilles is the largest port of France and the second largest metropolitan area in the French nation.

David Laisner has used the old style 3D rendering in order to create a replica of the city and he has already received rave reviews for his project. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, some sort of 3D rendering and animation engine(s), a pencil, a stamp, iPod touch, video editing software and some other techniques are what he used to create this awesome 3D replica of Marseilles.

It would be awesome if all these parts of Marseille are assembled to create the 3D representation of the entire city and that would really be damn impressive. However, I doubt the whole city was replicated bit by bit. Rather, he must have replicated only the important parts of the city like landmarks, monuments and important visibly recognizable parts.

There are certain devices which need constant upgradation. Moreover, we live in a time when we are inundated by hundreds of gadgets which we keep in our houses whether we need them or we don’t.

Once we begin to accumulate all the gadgets there never seems to be an end to it as the greed grows worse and soon, our living rooms are filled with wires and we become a part of the entangled mess. The Upgrade Modular Telecommunication System aims to solve these problems and with this magic modular strip, you could go ahead and customize your home network. One can replace a defected or outdated technique standard with just the related module.

It makes use of the digital and analogue phones, fax, the Internet connection and also Wi-fi to connect to several devices in the house. Thanks to the hard drive module, one could use it as a central file server and all the home network users can share their digital data easily without having to switch between gadgets and devices that have some kind of information. It is useful if you have a number of gadgets and have a number of people at home.

Ever wondered if you could do something cool with all those papers and cardboards in the office or in your house? Ever wanted to create something useful with all that paper-based waste that you generate every day? Well, designer Qianqian Tao has designed the Waste Paper Recycle Trash Bin which mixes all the dumped paper with 668 polyvinyl alcohol environment cement and compresses it.

The compressed trash is actually converted into a trash-bin form. The recycle bin for its part is eco-conscious and comes with touchscreen navigation display and is made of biodegradable materials. There is no information about what kind of power the design might use, or how one could procure the special cement which is required.

Moreover, I also do not understand why anybody would want hundred of trash cans being manufactured every other time there is paper-based garbage. Maybe one could start a side-business selling all the trash cans made of trash from the office stationery or papers from the house. Quite an ingenious idea indeed!

Misplacing a television remote is not an uncommon thing. Sometimes, it just gets misplaced nowhere leaving you annoyed and making you search for it all around the television room. This can be even worse when you have your favorite television program to catch up with. In order to help you fix this problem some guy has come up with a weird idea of attaching your television remote control to a gigantic anvil like object with a thick length of chain.

I honestly fail to comprehend the rationale by this anvil like object and the long chain that will keep your remote control intact. Why would one need these objects just to keep a television remote control in a safe place? It’s agreeable that children sometimes go overboard and they do misplace a lot of things and not just a television remote control. Adults are no less in comparison to say the least.

I guess it’s an absolute waste of time to even think about getting a huge object like an anvil and then a long chain to keep a television remote control safely. Just inculcate the small habit of keeping the remote on top of the television after you switch it off.

Did you ever imagine that you could generate electricity by just wearing some clothes? It is very much possible with “Captain Electric and Battery Boy“, which is a collection of three dresses developed by XS Labs. They are classified as ‘STICKY’, ‘STIFF’ and ‘ITCHY’. Each of them produces energy from movement to generate electricity in the form of lights or sound.

However, they function differently. Sticky is a hooded leather dress, which is designed to constrict the movements of the wearer’s arms using retractable cables. The sleeves are tethered to the chest and it forces the arms to produce energy to move, and it further powers the blue LED forms hidden in the pockets.

Stiff as the name suggests pretty much makes your movements stiff. It has a large back brace that runs from the waist and spreads up to the hood. When the brace is pushed, it produces ample energy to activate the MP3 player, which is installed in the hood. It plays “conflicting soothing messages.”

The Itchy, which is a tailored dress, is decorated with large wool necklaces. The oversized hoops irritate the wearer so much that he/she starts to fuss with them. This produces enough energy to turn on the LED lights installed in one of the necklaces. The trick is to produce more energy the more the wearer fidgets more with the necklace. These human-powered dresses are quite interesting but it doesn’t look very comfortable to wear daily. Hence, the purpose is likely to be defeated.

The shape of the phone is derived from the interface core and is expanded around it. It has a soft-touch option in a concaved surface on the right and left sides.

When you place it facing down on a surface, this phone automatically transfers the content to a nearest computer screen through either Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. After this, the phone acts like a mouse device to control its own interface that has been transferred to the computer screen. On the computer screen, you can drag and drop all the phone screen buttons, using the same phone as a mouse.

The camera lens and mouse buttons are now hidden on the phone’s backside black graphics.

The biggest advantage with such a phone is that it is covered in anti-scratch polycarbonate that cover its OLEDs. So it never suffers a scratch, not even when that screen is on the downside, touching a table surface.
