The Art Lebedev Studio is well known for their amazingly creative designs for pretty much anything. The designs may come off a horrendously expensive but as a design house Art Lebedev isn’t exactly about being cost-effective, instead it emphasizes more upon beauty and functionality.
One of the studio’s latest projects revolves around road safety. Nobody really expects to see art when it comes to safety on the roads but Art Lebedev comes through with the Transparentius. The concept is simplistic to the point that you wonder how you could possibly have missed it before. A camera rigged to the front of the vehicle (obviously a big one for this concept to be necessary) displays the image on the back of the vehicle so that drivers behind the vehicle can see what is just ahead of them.
The Transparentius can indeed stop quite a few unfortunate accidents. On the other hand, drivers may get so involved with checking out the view from behind a truck or some other vehicle (perhaps be bewildered by it) and this could lead to an accident. That’s art for you!
