Not being able to walk is such a nightmare for normal people like us, but ever thought how the bed-ridden or the chair-bound would feel about it. Especially, when they are teenagers… When their peers are jumping, playing and moving around without resting their legs, they get sick sulking in the chair that deprives them of those joys. Architectural designer Nori Sakatsume’s Transporter may cheer all those who haven’t been able to move around because of their disability.

The designer has come forward with a concept automatic electronic wheelchair that is powered by a lead-acid battery that runs the electric motor fixed in each of the wheels. The chair equipped with dynamic stabilization technology is easy to operate and would help the physically challenged to move around by themselves without depending on anyone.
I appreciate the designer for the concern he has shown towards them and hope the concept takes shape soon so that the confined can move around just like all of us.
