TSUM department store, Moscow, Russia has unleashed a new ad campaign which features the caricatures of fashionably dressed men instead of real models.

These images are from a previous ad campaign but speaks loads about the state of Russian economy. Perhaps, the department store felt it would be cheaper to have a graphic ad campaign instead of hiring and paying live models who would certainly charge a lot, especially considering the fact that it is a luxury department store.

With brands like DKNY and others being sold, it was time that the shop decided to cut costs, when the Russia economy is about collapse. Nevertheless, the caricatures look amazingly chic and all the models look good too, though they are only drawings and sketches.

Perhaps it will unveil a new trend among ad campaign designers who would now suggest department stores to use caricatures instead of live models. It might take a while for the Russian economy to bounce back, but people have certainly been spending on luxurious western brands like Hugo Boss and DKNY.
