Twin Video: A Camera for the Narcissistic Journalist

The last time you wanted to buy a camera, you certainly wouldn’t have thought of buying one with lens on two sides, so that it would not only take the subject’s picture but also the picture of the one who is taking the picture! The world of technology is quite weird, and we do see a number of gadgets that are out rightly weird and useless, and this seems to be one of them.

Twin Video is one such video camera that comes with lenses no two sides that it would not only take the picture of the interviewee but also the one who is taking the interview. Call it vanity, but I wouldn’t be surprised if many journalists and pseudo-documentary makers wanted a camera like this! The Twin Video camera allows you to film yourself and the one you are filming, and choose which of the images would be set picture-in-picture. It would also allow you to choose which would be the full sized master.

The Twin Video reminds me of the Kodak Zx1. It can record to SD or SDHC and you could connect it to a computer via the usual USB. Of course, it also comes with rechargeable battery. There is no information about the price but it expected to be in the stores during the first half of 2010. If you are a narcissistic journalist looking for a video camera, this is the one you need!
