Twitter Real Time Feeds Now On Microsoft Bing

With the exponential in crease in crease in the field of social networking and the emergence of real time social networks like Twitter, the need for real time search engines and search results has fast overwhelmed the online giants.

Now Microsoft has announced that it will be incorporating real-time search results and data from Twitter feeds, especially from the more frequent and high profile Twitterers. Bing is the evolution of Microsoft’s Live Search, Windows Live Search, and MSN Search. This new search engine combines the versatility of a regular search engine capabilities along with real time search results, especially from Twitter feeds. Bing provides its users with a list of related searches and also enables them to Save & Share search histories through the medium of Windows Live SkyDrive, Facebook, and email.

The all new real time results from Twitter would primarily be focused Microsoft search technology and business icons such as Danny Sullivan, Kara Swisher etc. Apart from the technology realm, Bing would also offer Twitter feed results from other high profile users from all walks of life, such as Al Gore, Ryan Seacrest etc.

According to the Official Bing Blog, “Starting later today, when you search for these folks names in association with Twitter, you’ll see their latest Tweets come up in real time on Bing’s search results. For example, if you type “Kara Swisher Twitter” or “Kara Swisher Tweets” or even “@karaswisher” as your search query, you’ll see something like the below. (Note this feature will be rolling out gradually over the course of the next few hours so you may not see it right away.”

As of now, Microsoft has focused only on a small percentage of Twitter users, who are more prominent and whose voices make a difference and inspire or entertain millions. Bing classifies the Twitter feeds it indexes on the basis of the number of followers and the number of Tweets the user posts each day.
