
It certainly is not happening anymore for this super successful celebrity from the fashion world. We are talking about super model Tyra Banks, whose TV show ‘America’s Next Top Model’ has won her the title of ‘media mogul’; though she doesn’t like the crown to be conferred on her but rather says that it would suit the famous talk show queen Oprah Winfrey.
Now the catwalk girl Banks has made headlines again by refusing to do any fashion branding. She says that it is too clichéd a thing for her. As quoted saying in Ebony magazine, “I just feel that the marketplace for celebrities throwing their names on things is over saturated.” Now that’s something newsy: when in today’s money driven world fat packages are paid to the models just to walk the ramp for five minutes, she has rejected the whole idea altogether. And for somebody such as Banks to pooh pooh branding fashion products is just the kind of news that the paps had been looking for.
She said that she had several opportunities to kick start her brand but she is least interested in making headlines with such stuff. She doesn’t want to be another Hollywood celebrity trying to grab the attention of the ace lensmen just for the sake of publicity stunts.
