The Spike TV Video Game Awards named the immensely famous video game, Uncharted 2 as the best game of the year for 2009 and bagged two other awards in different categories. The video game title released exclusively for Sony Playstation 3 was bestowed upon with the top game of the year award along with an award for the best graphics for a video game title.

The award ceremony took place in LA Live complex that honors the biggest names in the video games industry and featured terrific performances by Stevie Wonder, Green Day and Jack Black. Snoop Dogg and The Bravery. In a statement, music legend, Stevie Wonder said,

“I want to see the companies that make these video games make them accessible so that people like myself can enjoy them too.”

The best music game of the year went to The Beatles: Rock Band, that was presented by Mr. Wonder and the rock group, Green Day announced that, they would also be featured in a music video game developed by Harmonix slated to be released in the year 2010. Uncharted 2 was released in the month of October this year and has gotten great reviews from the critics as well as the gamers.

According to Nolan North, the voice artist for the game’s lead character,

“We knew when we were making this game it was going to be good, but nobody could have predicted this kind of success.”
