Mobile phone always allows us to change the look of the clock and whether it is digital or analogue in display. It is interesting, thus, that this is a feature which isn’t available in a simple watch. Or perhaps it has just taken some time to reach watches.

UNI Watch designed by Takemura Ori is made completely in black and takes the term minimalistic to a higher level. The watch is beautiful enough to look at home on the wrist of a Vampire and a Bond type spy as well. The complete blackness of the watch gives a sense of it appearing to disappear into the darkness, camouflaging itself in shadows. You could customise the display of the watch so that you get to see the minutes and seconds in two small white circles. Else, the numbers appear to be spiralling downwards to lose itself in the watch.

The UNI watch can connect to the system via a USB allowing you to use software to change the display including the font and colour. Almost strangely, the UNI watch can be read only when the wrist is turned because the display flashes on due to an in-built accelerometer.
