modjo Valentine’s Day Songs 2010: The Top 10 Dance Tracks

Valentine’s Day is actually a few hours away, and my suggestion is always not to fall into the traps of commercialization and instead have some good old fashioned fun dancing and partying. While I have already written several gift guides which might be of interest to those who are looking for purchasing Valentine’s Day gifts, there are many people who actually do not want to spend a lot of money.

If you are one among them, you could instead buy a lot of booze and begin to play great music at home and dance the night away. It would be great to get a good lost of songs that would help you to make a play list. The list below could be great way to start dancing the evening away. Take a look at the list, and depending on what you need, you could always change or alter the play list.

Lady by Modjo

This cool song from a decade ago has a nice video and most of us can still remember it. It would be a good way to start the evening and evoke memories of the past decade.

King of My Castle by Wamdue Project

This stylish and almost hypnotic song shows the lead singer of Wamdue Project declare that she is the “King of her Castle”. A great beat, and awesome lyrics makes this song amazing.

Murder on the Dancefloor by Sophie Ellis Bextor

This song was a favourite across clubs all around the world. If you were looking for something that rung in your mind constantly, this has to be it.

Set It Off by Peaches

Peaches is one of my favourite singers, and there perhaps isn’t anyone that could compare to her. The electrocrap music, for which she is famous is widely assumed to be vulgar and cheap, but they are humorous.

Now that the Love is Gone by David Guetta

With an interesting video, this song was popular just a few months ago. It would be a great song to play during the middle of the party.

Hung Up by Madonna

Here can’t be a party without Madonna cheering everyone to dance. Thus, with her cool Hung Up, you could be sure that you would have the best tie in the world.

Soak Up the Sun by Sheryl Crow

Sheryl Crow is not really known for club music. With her blues and country tunes, this song comes as a surprise. IT is light hearted and tuneful.

Don’t Give Up by Chicane

This song probably was not very famous. It was famous a decade ago and most people who were party animals back then would remember this song. A truly amazing song.

Slippery Dick by Peaches

Again Peaches, but this time she challenges you with her gnarly words and personality. One of the most controversial songs till date, it would make a great party song.

Get This Party Started by Pink

This song by Pink was quite famous too many years ago. Though I don’t really like Pink, this song is kinda funny and nice to groove to.

This list of songs should tell you what to play, and what not to play. I fact, you should not even be depending upon lists to play music. You should play what you like, and what you have always liked on a day like Valentine’s.
