Velomobiles have been around for quite some time and is popular amongst many people for their eco-friendly quality. Somewhere between a car and a bike, the velomobile has all the qualities of a car mixed with the earth-loving qualities of a bike. Featured here are some of the best velomobile designs that are available commercially.

The Flevo Versatile from Flevo Technology is available in North America through BlueVelo. Designed by flevobike, it features a Rohloff 14 speed hub, and more.
Banana shaped and coloured, the Go-One is designed by Michael Goretzky and manufactured by Beyss Corporation in Germany. It features a 9 speed Shimano and 14 speed Rohloff.

The Aerorider made in Netherlands is extremely weatherproof and comes with electric assistance.

The sunrider is made from the same manufacturer as the Aerorider and is quite popular in Europe.

The Aurora designed by Steve Schleicher also offer electric power assistance and has standard SRAM Dual Drive gearing. Aurora is produced by Cambie Cycles of Canada.

Stormy Weather is as tough as it sounds. Designed by Reg Rodaro, Stromy Wetaher also offer electric power assist.

The Leitra may look slightly old-fashioned but has a BionX electric assist motor and comes in three different sizes.

The WAW by Fietser has standard Shimano gearing plus electric assist.

The Alleweder from Flevo may be from the 80s but is still rugged enough to have hung around so long.
