The highly anticipated launch of the all new Verizon Droid has compelled the wireless carrier to create new advertisements and the company is also taking potshots at its closest rival, Apple iPhone. The all new Droid is claimed to be highly advanced, running on the Google Android operating system and sports a lot of features and functions that the iPhone lacks. The availability of such features might become a bane for iPhone’s existence and could lead to an all out war between the two companies.
As per the latest commercials released by Verizon for the Droid mobile phone, the company has spared no expense in making sure that the customers get the difference between the two machines even before the Droid is launched. Some of the features that lack in the iPhone when it comes to competing with Verizon Droid are, the lack of a physical keyboard, iPhone does not take night shots with its camera, it doesn’t support running of multiple applications and furthermore, the iPhone is against open development, a feature Droid is willing to provide to the app developers.
The all new Verizon Droid is expected to be Motorola Sholes/Tao, Motorola’s latest addition to the mobile phone market with an impressive 480 x 854 pixel screen and will be embedded with Android 2.0 operating system.
