
The paid content services got yet another addition to their growing list, with the launch of VEVO, a brand new premium content provider, especially for music videos. VEVO has already got the attention of some of the biggest players in the fields of internet and entertainment as, VEVO has got the blessings of the search industry behemoth, Google and the music industry giant, Universal Music.
The emergence of all sorts of media outlets ranging from online music services to online video services etc. the spectrum of internet media has changed the ways through which content was distributed and controlled which until recently was dominated by a few major media empires. The new scenarios is such where there are now loads of websites and services that provide users with fresh content and also provide a platform for artists, musicians, etc. to reach out to the masses on scale never before imagined.
VEVO’s operational model is based on that of the immensely famous online video sharing website, YouTube, where VEVO will provide the users with free video streaming services and targeting revenue generation via the means advertisements. It still remains upon time to show us the level success that this new service will achieve, especially with two big hitter, Google and Universal Music backing up the service.
