We have just come across an interesting pair of socks just suitable for runners and athletes called “FiveFingers” by Vibram. These new running socks are so uniquely designed that they look like gloves for feet, which I have never come across anywhere. FiveFingers are already gaining a high popularity amongst many including a professional athlete, Helen Pryer, one of Britain’s top 200 meters runners. She prefers them for her spring training and gym training. It’s not only athletes and runners who have got the hangover for FiveFingers.
Matt Walden, a British osteopath uses them to help rehabilitate his patients. The ultra-thin socks made from hard-wearing neoprene are said to help prevent injuries including ankle sprains and sore knees. The toe sections are separated by the thin rubber. You can buy the socks for around £80.
A lot of people on Twitter have been exchanging chat messages about the FiveFingers. Many of them have been busy expressing their appreciation about these socks. I guess everybody is slowly becoming a hardcore fan of the FiveFingers. So, go ahead and grab your FiveFingers and redefine your running. I hope this encourages a lot of people to start running regularly and maintain fitness.
