Learning the art of painting can be a messy business. Getting the right hue and choosing the right brush seem to be almost impossible for beginners. Virtuo by Canadian designer Yana Klimava will erase away all these pains to help you learn how to paint like da Vinci.
Virtuo is a virtual painting set that works via Bluetooth in connection with the computer. The pallet gives you options of the primary colours which can then be mixed and then ‘applied’ on the screen/canvas. The strength of the mixed colour is dependent upon the time spent in mixing the colour. The tools used (pencil, paintbrush, knife, airbrush and pastel) would not be new to any MS Paint user. Virtuo works in a quite realistic manner by allowing users to save and open saved paintings but without giving the user the option to erase paint. According to Klimava, this would instil the sense of practising towards perfection in an amateur painter.
Virtuo is still in the conceptual stage but would be a helpful gadget for anyone learning to paint and extremely useful for a student of art. It is good enough to be used by professional digital artists, too. An electromagnetic charger keeps the Virtuo running a long time.
