This is the kind of stuff that animals everywhere dream of. Always spoken of as the less intellectual of all life on earth and used for everything from slaving to eating by humans, animals have always waited for their day. And, this is it!

Two Russian inventors have built the Virtusphere which just turns out to be hamster balls with a fancier name. The animal kingdom is going bonkers hoping that this product will actually go into production so that they can view humans running in trapped and running in these balls without really going anywhere. The Virtusphere is actually video game which, if it really does work, would be pretty cool. This ‘locomotion stimulator’ allows the user to run in any direction within the ten foot ball while playing a first person shooter game to give a better sense of reality.

Testers report that it is extremely difficult to start the ball rolling and to change movement once they have picked up enough movement. This being the only exciting bit about the Virtusphere, it sounds like this would never reach production stage.
