Well, this is not the first tie-ups of two giants. Warner Bros and Microsoft had previously agreed to promote Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix too. Now they are again all set to launch a massive digital campaign for the upcoming film Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

The campaign will run across on all sites of Microsoft including Xbox Live, the MSN portal and the Windows Live instant messenger. There will be clippings of the film, interesting downloads, pictures and other interesting stuff for all Harry Potter fans. Apart from this there will also be editorials about the film on Microsoft.co.uk entertainment channel.

The campaign is targeting all young and old fans across the globe. Xbox Live will focus on older fans while MSN portal and MSN Video service will target teenage brigade. There will be an online competition to win a trip to Chicago to visit Harry Potter Exhibition. So Harry Potter will be visible on Microsoft UK in coming weeks.

With Harry Potter coming of age the film advertising too has come a long way!
