India is known for its weird quirks and weirder TV shows. The country got to learn about reality shows from the west, just as it learns most other things. This time around, in a TV show which desperately tries to prove that “India’s Got Talent” and thus has named itself so in order to prove so, some guys have gone around and pranced up and down to prove their talent.

This time, they did not prance around trees singing those funny songs but instead have gone ahead and recreated Super Mario Bros’ game in real. The contestants used backlights and glow-in-the-dark images to project on the screen bricks and Luigi and Mario go ahead running from one end of the screen to the other.

They jump across turtles on the way and kinda prove the myth of Sisyphus that the country grapples with, when it comes to hunting for talent. Not that I find the game any cooler, but if this is what people think is original talent, unfortunately not many people would think so. I wonder why they did not choose to enact or fool around with something a little more complex.
