If you are one of the many people who love to cycle or ride a motorbike everywhere you go then one of the things that you’re most in love with must be the experience of feeling the wind on you. Don’t let the effect be momentary; you can enjoy the experience of that speed thrill even when you get off your bike.
The Wind-Helmet is a conceptual helmet for cyclists and bikers that would turn your riding experiences into an eco friendly effort. The helmet has a small propeller attached to it which is connected to a generator. Harvesting the wind energy produced as the rider races around town, the generator can recharge small batteries to power all your much needed gadgets, like your cell phones.
Wind-Helmet was inspired by the simple windmill systems. It was designed by Wai Hoong Leng and was an entry in the Greener Gadgets Design Competition. The idea of a green helmet is definitely interesting and would be appealing to those who wish to produce energy on the go. Yet, the design of the of the helmet is quite uninspiring.
