It seems that Microsoft has pinned all its hopes on the recently launched Microsoft Windows 7, after the debacle of its over hyped Vista series of operating systems. User across the globe, whoa t first enthusiastically installed Windows Vista on their systems, faced an OS that was highly demanding when it comes to hardware requirements, along with its constant need for authorization and incompatibility with many software and hardware made it an almost nightmarish scenario for the users.
However, this time around, it looks like Microsoft has finally learned from the mistakes in the past and with the all new Windows 7, it is hoping to rejuvenate its tarnished reputation. Windows 7, is known to be an upgrade for Windows XP and Windows Vista version and according to reports, it has been stripped of almost all the flaws that marred the Vista series, yet keeping the visual delicacies that were the only positive points about Vista.
Another positive aspect of Windows 7 is its low system requirements, where the Home Basic and Premium versions of the operating system, require a bare minimum of 1GHZ of processing power along with 1 GB of RAM, a configuration that can be seen in virtually every household.

However, one of the biggest downsides of Windows 7, is the lack of some essential features that we are all used to by now, such as Windows Mail, Movie Maker, Calendar, Contacts and Photo Gallery, that have been omitted from all Windows 7 editions, just to avoid any anti-trust situations. Although, these features can be separately downloaded from the Microsoft website, yet it will most certainly create a lot of confusion, especially among those users, who are not privy to the download-able content via the website.
