Having your own personal wine label might not be a dream now. The Garagiste, an entry-level personal winery costing US$ 2,000 can make world-class wine at home. It followed the earlier artisan winemaking device called Winepod which was priced at US$ 4,500.
Garagiste comprises a 75 liter stainless steel all-purpose tank that can be used for fermenting, pressing and aging. The pomace basket makes cleaning easier and collects the must. It can make up to four cases of fine wine per batch. This up market model has an automatic wine press with pressure control and can be connected to a computer for micro fermentation monitoring and management. The system comes with WineCoach software which has a step-wise instruction manual and worldwide social network of WinePod winemakers to connect with making its operation easy. You will also get advice from professional winemakers, online support and access to premium grapes like syrah from Annadel Vineyard in Sonoma Valley and others.
Garagiste proves to be a perfect blend of a revolutionary winemaking artestry and technical innovation that enables you to make award-winning wines in the comfort of your home at just $2,000. Sounds great, isn’t it!
