Most anyone would have a driving license today, unless you are such a maniac on the roads that a wild dog would be permitted a license before you are. What is really hard to get is the license to fly a plane.
Ed Shadle couldn’t get one either but what he did get was an old fighter plane. Since he can’t fly it, he’s decided to get some use out of it for little things like grocery shopping at the mart around the corner to his plane so Ed’s converting his jet into a land vehicle. The Lockheed F-104 Starfighter was something Ed bought about 10 years ago for $25,000. Over the past decade, Ed and his friends have managed to convert it into a land vehicle that can go at speeds of 800mph.
Painted fiery red with a stunning eagle on the side, Ed and company hope to break the land speed record. There might be real cars competing with Ed but how can you not support the coolest of the lot?
