A beach with many soup bowls leading to the sea – must have been an intriguing sight. WWF used the ambience of location and occasion of music festival in Bali to spread a word about endangered future of sea turtles. This unexpected exhibition of soup bowls with an important message must have surely caught the attention of tourists.

Turtles, turtle eggs and young hatchlings often end up as exotic soups or other products all over the world. It seems only one in thousand turtle babies manage to survive till adulthood. This is shocking and sad. Soup bowls do send a symbolic message across.

WWF’s another campaign in Paris exhibited paper Pandas. Such larger than life exhibitions with messages of conservation of wildlife seem to be new campaign style of WWF. This is typical low cost guerilla marketing. Such innovative campaigns get good publicity too.

WWF should hold these exhibitions more often at strategic locales all over the world. Our wildlife will be preserved once the demand for exotic wildlife product ends.
