This year Yahoo! Search was dominated by the keyword Michael Jackson, as million so users across the globe logged on the website to now more about the King of Pop and the circumstances surrounding his sudden and mysterious demise. The legend of Michael Jackson not only limited itself to the offline world, but also overwhelmed the online domains as fans turned in unprecedented levels to pay their last respects and celebrate the icon’s legacy.

The revelation was made by Yahoo! Inc. with the release of internet search statistics by the company that carry the most frequented search trends for Yahoo! Search. In a similar fashion, the world’s biggest search provider, Google, is also expected to released its won search related data in a few days.

Again, Michael Jackson is expected to dominate the search trends for Google this year. This estimate comes in the wake of a surprising event that happened after Michael Jackson’s death. Soon after the news of the Pop legend’s demise broke out, Google search engine was so much overloaded with Michael Jackson search strings that, the company almost mistook it for an automated attack.

Apart from Michael Jackson, the other keywords that witnessed themselves on the top shelves of the Yahoo! Search are Twilight (No.2), Megan Fox, the actress from the Transformers series at No. 4 and ending the Top 10 list with Nascar ending at the 9th position.
